Tiny Tidbits of Who I am...
Hi! I'm Jardo de la Peña, a self-employed as a graphic designer, specializing in the fields of corporate identity (logo) design, web design, print design and branding with the majority of my time spent designing and implementing marketing promotions for businesses such as logos, illustrations, letterhead, business cards, packaging and more. I love to design and create stuffs that my intuitive faculty perceives. I do branding & identity design. I’m a fan of simple and simplicity. When I tackle a topic, I don’t think I’m done until I've found the simplest way to look at it. I think of simplicity as a process. You can’t always start there, but you can find it or create more of it as you go. I also think of simplicity as a by-product. It happens when I find the elegant path or the simple truth. Sometimes I see simplicity as a means to an end — where the end is a simpler understanding or a simpler result or a simpler way to share. Sometimes I have to look backward to find simplicity — I can’t always find simple up front, but sometimes when I look back, it was there all along, either hidden among the chaos, or I just didn’t have the right lens.
About my Works....
Components, composition, concept, creativity & research are important elements & starting points for a good design. To help me understand what you want, I collect samples of identities you like and don't like. It should be attractive, unique, distinctive, noticeable, professional and convey your brand/company ideas. The design must show design elements that will represent yourself, the company or domain. It must be catchy & must standout. Attention spans are short in cyberspace. First impressions, especially when it comes to the web are critically important.
